What each column means
P is matches played; W wins; L losses; NR no results; Pts league points; NRR net run rate. Q marks a team that qualified for the playoffs. The league table excludes playoff matches, so a finalist can play more matches than the 14 shown here.
How league points are awarded
Under the 2026 conditions, a win earns two points and a loss none. A no result earns one per team; the conditions also cover an unresolved tie or a match that does not start. Punjab’s seven wins plus one no result produce 15 points; Kolkata’s six wins plus one no result produce 13.
Equal points: wins before NRR
The official tie-break sequence is most league wins, then higher NRR, then wickets taken per fair ball bowled in matches with a result, then drawing lots if still equal. In this table RCB, GT and SRH have equal points and wins, so NRR separates them. Rajasthan’s 16 points keep it above Punjab’s 15 despite Punjab’s better NRR.
Common questions
Do playoff wins add points?
No. The 2026 playing conditions exclude playoff matches from the league table.
Does a higher NRR always mean a higher position?
No. Points come first, then league wins when points are equal. NRR is used when both points and wins are equal.
