The 2026 league table placed RCB, Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals in the four playoff positions. League points measure the regular-season record; the title was settled in the final. RCB happened to finish first in the table and win the trophy in this season.
The route through the playoffs
RCB beat Gujarat by 92 runs in Qualifier 1 on 26 May to reach the final. Rajasthan eliminated Hyderabad by 47 runs on 27 May. Gujarat then beat Rajasthan by seven wickets in Qualifier 2 on 29 May, setting up a rematch with RCB.
The final score
Gujarat made 155 for eight from 20 overs. RCB finished on 161 for five after 18 overs to win by five wickets at Narendra Modi Stadium. The official final record, rather than the league table alone, establishes the season’s champion.
